Sunfox Campround’s Dave Nowakowski has launched a bid for the 47th District in the CT House of Representatives.  This district includes half of Lisbon, all of Canterbury, Sprague, Scotland, and Chaplin, the northern portion of Norwich, the southern part of Brooklyn and the western slice of Plainfield.  The seat is currently held by Rep. Doug Dubitsky of Chaplin.  Dave is running as the endorsed Democratic candidate, with his priorities being working families in our state, kids & teens, support of our public schools and small businesses, with an emphasis on always being able to play well with others.  A graduate of Norwich Free Academy and ECSU, Dave is a life-long resident of eastern Connecticut, and has spent the last 9 years in Lisbon, serving on the Board of Education and operating Sunfox with his wife Jen and their four children.  Previously, Dave was a teacher and coach in Griswold.  He continues to be involved in youth and high school sports, including being a member of the CIAC Wrestling Committee and the wrestling tournament director.  Dave offers his full support to State Senator Cathy Osten, who has done an incredible amount for eastern CT, Governor Ned Lamont, as well as US Congressman Joe Courtney.  If you live in the 47th district, please consider supporting Dave with a lawn sign, and be sure to get out and vote on November 8.  If you know anyone who lives in those communities, please let them know you support Dave’s candidacy, and encourage them to get out and vote.  In accordance with the Connecticut Citizens’ Election Program, only individuals donating small dollar amounts from $5 to $290 may contribute (no corporate or lobbyist financing), so any contributions to the campaign would be greatly appreciated (and while you don’t need to be from the 47th district to donate, it certainly helps if you are from any of those 8 towns, even if you don’t live in the 47th district).  Our goal is to receive as many $47 donations for the 47th District as possible.  Some of the policies that concern Dave are support of our public schools, safety of our children & teens, election reform (including “Ranked Choice Voting”, as well legislative redistricting that prevents gerrymandering), and any common-sense issues that may arise.  To donate to our campaign, please visit “Friends of Dave Nowakowski“.  If you would prefer to donate by check, please complete the required form (link here for contribution form ) and mail to “Friends of Dave Nowakowski  15 Kenyon Rd  Lisbon  CT  06351”–thanks!
