2026 Sunfox Calendar of Special Events (April through October)
Please note that 2026 reservations begin on January 2, 2026 for spring and fall weekend stays, as well as summer stays of 7 nights or more. Summer weekends may be reserved 2 months in advance (or 3 months early if adding a 3rd night…or 4 months prior if reserving 4 nights). If looking to reserve a “spring special”, “fall special” or “summer seasonal”, we begin taking those stays of over 30 nights on December 1, 2025.

During the summer, from June 19 through August 30, there are scheduled and supervised events and activities offered, and our swimming pool and adult hot tub are open on a daily basis!

Spring 2026
Join us for spring camping at Sunfox Campground! During the spring, we offer early check-in times, as well as an extended check-out time of 4PM on Sundays and holidays. Weekend activities are offered, and our mid-week special features your 3rd weeknight FREE!
April 1 until May 17: Early Spring Spectacular—Enjoy 7 spring weekends with free on-site storage in between. $999 for a site with water, electric, and satellite cable TV (dry well for gray water and pump-out service available for $20). This program is limited to those campers using the site on weekends and any recognized holidays or school vacation periods (1 week of mid-week camping permitted, as well as 7 additional weeknights during the applicable dates, for those looking to add a Thursday or Sunday night on occasion), and is not intended for those seeking daily use throughout the period, for which published monthly rates would apply. Rate includes up to $100 of metered electric usage. Limited availability. Sites available may include those numbers in 20-30 range. Reservations may be made starting Dec 1, 2025 for this program. We also offer our “Extended Spring Special” with all 10 weekends from April 1 until June 14 for $1449 (w/e/c).
April 2-5: Easter Weekend—Add a night for FREE in April! Egg coloring, an Easter Egg Hunt, Bingo and more. Reserve any April Weekend and add either Thursday night or Sunday night for FREE! Activities include a Saturday night Bingo, wagon rides, kickball and more! $138 for any site includes either a site with water & electric, satellite cable TV and gray water or a site with sewer as well. On site rentals range from $378 to $418 for the weekend.
April 10-12: Add a night for FREE in April! Reserve any April Weekend and add either Thursday night or Sunday night for FREE! Activities include a Saturday night Bingo on each weekend, wagon rides, kickball and more! Mid-week rates on April weekends mean $49-$74/night. On site rentals range from $378 to $418 for the weekend.
April 17-19: Add a night for FREE in April! Reserve any April Weekend and add either Thursday night or Sunday night for FREE! Activities include a Saturday night Bingo, wagon rides, kickball and more! Mid-week rates on April weekends mean $49-$74/night. On site rentals range from $378 to $418 for the weekend. 
April 24-26: Add a night for FREE in April! Reserve any April Weekend and add either Thursday night or Sunday night for FREE! Activities include a Saturday night Bingo on each weekend, wagon rides, kickball and more! Mid-week rates on April weekends mean $49-$74/night. On site rentals range from $378 to $418 for the weekend.
May 1-3: Spring 2 for 1 Weekend–Find a friend or family member to join you, as your 2nd site is FREE! Make your reservations early, while sites last. This weekend also features our “Welcome Back” Potluck Dessert on Saturday. $158 for a site with water, electric and satellite cable TV, or $178 for the weekend for a site with sewer as well. A tent site with no hook-ups is just $138, while on-site rentals range from $378 to $418 for the weekend. If adding Mother’s Day Weekend, receive FREE on-site storage between the 2 weekends (while “2 for 1” special is not applicable to rental units, you would receive a 2nd campsite for free).
May 8-10: Mother’s Day Weekend—Treat Mom to a weekend of camping, presenting 3 Bingo sessions, a Saturday night dance and activities for the whole family. $158 for a site with water, electric and satellite cable TV, or $178 for the weekend for a site with sewer as well. A tent site with no hook-ups is just $138, while on-site rentals range from $378 to $418 for the weekend. Each campsite also receives 1 free breakfast for Mom on Sunday (Mother’s Day) at the Avalunch Snack Bar. Our seasonally heated swimming pool and adult hot tub will be open for the season starting on Mother’s Day Weekend.
May 15-17: 80’s Prom Party Weekend—In addition to a dance concert with “The Outriggers”, where all are encouraged to dress up for the prom, and there will be classic contests such as sack races, 3-legged races, Limbo, a waterballoon toss and more. $158 for a site with water, electric and satellite cable TV, or $178 for the weekend for a site with sewer as well. A tent site with no hook-ups is just $138, while on-site rentals range from $378 to $418 for the weekend. Sunday also features our Spring Golf Outing at River Ridge.
May 22-25: Memorial Day Weekend—Reservations may be made for the full holiday weekend, which includes 3 nights and 4 days, from 12pm on Friday until 4PM Monday. Family activities for all ages, with a bonfire, 60’s Explosion Band, multiple Bingo sessions and more! $327 for a site with water, electric and satellite cable TV, or $357 for the 3-night weekend for a site with sewer as well. A tent site with no hook-ups is $297, while on-site rentals range from $627 to $687.
May 29 -31: “Happy Birthday To You” Weekend—Everyone loves a birthday party, so join us this weekend at Sunfox, where all kids receive a present. In addition, cake & ice cream will be served, the piñata will be assaulted, songs will be sung and a range of birthday games will be played by all, and a poolside dance party. Kids are also invited to participate in our wrapped $10 “Yankee present swap”. If any member of your camping party is actually celebrating a birthday this weekend, enjoy a free small Slush Puppy. $158 for a site with water, electric and satellite cable TV, or $178 for the weekend for a site with sewer as well. June 5-7: Kids vs Adults Weekend—A wide range of activities pitting the kids vs the parents, including Corn Hole, dodgeball, kickball, volleyball, pool volleyball, cup stacking, water balloon toss, tug of war and more. $158 for a site with water, electric and satellite cable TV, or $178 for the weekend for a site with sewer as well. June 12-14: Connecticut vs All Other States Weekend—A wide range of activities pitting our local campers vs all out of staters, including Corn Hole, dodgeball, kickball, volleyball, pool volleyball, cup stacking, water balloon toss, tug of war and more. $158 for a site with water, electric and satellite cable TV, or $178 for the weekend for a site with sewer as well. Summer 2026

June 19-21: Father’s Day Weekend—A fishing derby, Father/Child Corn Hole and a Dad’s dinner special are among the many highlights, with a Saturday night dance with “The Outriggers” and family Bingo as well. $178 for a site with water, electric and satellite cable TV, or $198 for the weekend for a site with sewer as well. A tent site with no hook-ups is just $158, while on-site rentals range from $398 to $438 for the weekend.
June 21 until August 30–Summer Seasonal! For those unable to take advantage of our full seasonal program , we offer a shorter “summer seasonal” package including 10 full weeks of the peak camping season. Rate of $3299 (pay for 8 weeks and get 2 weeks free…a discount of over $100 per week off the summer weekly rate) with water, electric, satellite cable TV and dry well for gray water (pump-out service available for $20), with up to $200 of metered electric use included. We will offer a limited number of our new “big rig” 50 AMP sites with full hook-ups for this “summer seasonal”, with a rate of $3499 for the 10 weeks.
July 2-July 5: July 4th Holiday Weekend– This is expected to be a very busy week, with summer weekly reservations being taken starting on January 2. If any sites remain for the 3-night holiday weekend (Thur until Sun), reservations will begin on May 2 (3 months in advance), with $327 for a site with water, electric and satellite cable TV, or $357 for a site with sewer as well. A tent site with no hook-ups is $297 for the 3-night holiday weekend.
Summer Weekends (July 10-12 through Aug 28-30): Summer weekends in July & August may be reserved 2 months in advance (or 3 months early, if adding an extra night). $178 for a site with water, electric and satellite cable TV, or $198 for the weekend for a site with sewer as well. A tent site with no hook-ups is just $158, while on-site rentals range from $398 to $438 for the weekend. If reserving for a week or longer in the summer, you may make reservations starting on January 2. Please note that during the peak summer season, many sites do fill on a weekly basis, and our on-site Park Models almost always get filled week to week, with sporadic shorter stays open.
Summer Weeknights: Daily activities are featured throughout the summer, and our mid-week special features your 3rd weeknight for FREE! (Sunday night through Thursday night). Weeknight rates are just $69 for a tent site with no hook-ups, $79 for a site with water, electric and satellite cable TV, or $89 for a site with sewer as well. On-site rental rates range from $189 to $209 per night, with your 3rd weeknight free. While summer weekly stays may be reserved in January, for summer stays of less than 7 nights, you may reserve based on your length of stay—4 nights may be reserved 4 months prior to arrival, while 3 nights can be reserved 3 months in advance.
Fall 2026
Fabulous fall camping at Sunfox Campground! During the fall, we offer early check-in times, as well as an extended check-out time of 4PM on Sundays and holidays. Weekend activities are presented, and our mid-week special features your 3rd weeknight FREE! Our pool and adult hot tub remain open until Sept 13, with limited hours and facilities during the mid-week days between Labor Day and Sept 13.
September 11 until October 12: Fall Spectacular—Enjoy 5 fall weekends (including Halloween #1 and Indigenous People/Columbus Day Weekend) with free on-site storage in between. $899 for a site with water, electric satellite cable TV and a dry well for gray water (pump-out service available), or $999 with sewer as well (on one of our 29 new 50 amp sites), with up to $100 metered electric use included. This special does not include a 2nd site free on “2 for 1” weekend. This program is limited to those campers using the site on weekends and any recognized holidays, and is not intended for those seeking daily use throughout the period, for which published monthly rates would apply. Plan includes 6 additional weeknights, for those looking to add Thursday or Sunday night on occasion. Sites available may include those in 20-30 range, as well as new sites across the pond in the 101-129 range, with limited availability. Reservations may be made starting Dec 1 for this program.
September 4-7: Labor Day Weekend— Reservations may be made for the full holiday weekend, which includes 3 nights and 4 days, from anytime on Friday until 4PM Monday. Family activities for all ages, with a bonfire, a dance, multiple Bingo sessions, poolside “Margaritaville Radio” honoring Jimmy Buffett and more! $327 for a site with water, electric and satellite cable TV, or $357 for the 3-night weekend for a site with sewer as well. A tent site with no hook-ups is $297, while on-site rentals range from $627 to $687.
September 11-13: Country Music Weekend–Join us for this weekend featuring “Branded” on Saturday, as well as Bingo. $158 for a site with water, electric and satellite cable TV, or $178 for the weekend for a site with sewer as well. A tent site with no hook-ups is just $138, while on-site rentals range from $378 to $418 for the weekend. This is the final weekend that we expect the heated swimming pool and adult hot tub to be open for the 2026 season.
September 18-20: Bingo Bonanza/Fall Harvest Weekend—Try your luck at any or all of our Bingo sessions this weekend, as well as “Horse Racing with Lefty” and a free Candy Bingo for the kids. This weekend presents a great chance to check out the local orchards and corn mazes, as well as our Potluck Dessert and Contest. $158 for a site with water, electric and satellite cable TV, or $178 for the weekend for a site with sewer as well. A tent site with no hook-ups is just $138, while on-site rentals range from $378 to $418 for the weekend.
September 25-27: Two for One Weekend—Find a friend or family member to join you, as your 2nd site is FREE! Make your reservations early, while sites last. $158 for a site with water, electric and satellite cable TV, or $178 for the weekend for a site with sewer as well. A tent site with no hook-ups is just $138, with a 2nd site FREE! On-site rentals range from $378 to $418 for the weekend (while “2 for 1” special is not applicable to rental units, you would receive a 2nd campsite for free). Sunday also features our fall golf outing (9 holes) at River Ridge.
October 2-4: Halloween Weekend #1—Site decorating, trick-or-treating, costume parade & contest, flashlight candy hunt, magic show, our “Horrifying Hay Rides” and more help get the whole family in the spirit of Halloween! $218 for a site with water, electric and satellite cable TV, or $238 for the weekend for a site with sewer as well. Tent sites with no hook-ups are $198, while on-site rentals range from $418 to $458 for the weekend.
October 9-12: Columbus Day/Indigenous Weekend—A wonder-fall holiday weekend, with Bingo, family dance with “Branded”, a bonfire with “Gopherbroke” and fun for all. $237 for a site with water, electric and satellite cable TV, or $267 for the 3-night weekend for a site with sewer as well. Tent site with no hook-ups $207, while on-site rentals range from $567 to $627. Reservations for the 3-night holiday weekend may be made as of January 2, while we will accept requests for 2-night stays starting October 1 (if any still available). Please note that even though it falls between our 2 Halloweens, this IS NOT a Halloween Weekend.
October 16-18: Halloween Weekend #2—Site decorating,

October 23-25: Halloween Weekend #3—The popularity of our Halloween weekends has resulted in a 3rd weekend again for 2026, with site decorating, trick-or-treating, costume parade & contest, magic show, flashlight candy hunt, our “Horrifying Hay Rides” and more help get the whole family in the spirit of Halloween! $218 for a site with water, electric and satellite cable TV, or $238 for the weekend for a site with sewer as well. Tent sites with no hook-ups are $198, while on-site rentals range from $418 to $458 for the weekend.
October 30-32: Closing “Thanksgiving” Weekend—Not many scheduled events or activities other than kids vs adults in dodgeball, our final Bingo of the year on Friday night, fall corn hole championship and our Turkey Dinner. Water is expected to remain on through this weekend. Just $59 per night for any site, any hook-ups. Join us for our Thanksgiving Dinner, at 1pm Saturday, where we will provide the turkey & mashed potatoes, and participating campers are asked to bring a side dish and their own drinks (we are hoping for a natural distribution of items, but it is possible we could have 49 cans of cranberry sauce and no green-bean casserole or pumpkin pie…but who knows, so “Sign-up Genius” will be used). This dinner is offered to our seasonals at no cost, while weekend campers or additional guests of seasonals are invited to join us for just $5/adult and $3/child, when bringing a side dish, (or $50/adult and $30/child if showing up empty-handed). Please note that there will be no Halloween festivities this weekend (please join us on HW1 or HW2 or HW3 on preceding weekends).
