While we hope that you never need to cancel your camping reservations, please read the following:
Cancellation policies are based on when a reservation is cancelled in relation to your arrival date, regardless of when the original reservation was made. Any reservation canceled at least 30 days prior to arrival date will result in a refund in the form in which you paid, minus a $20 per site cancellation fee. Any reservation canceled less than 30 days but at least 7 days (1 week) prior to reservation arrival date will be entitled to a Sunfox Campground Camper’s Credit for a future stay, minus a $20 per site cancellation fee. Any cancellation made less than 7 days prior to reservation arrival date shall receive no refund or credit. There are no refunds or credits for early departures. Camping is an outdoor experience; therefore, we do not give refunds or credits for weather or natural conditions. For any Reservation Change, if it is a change in dates only (not in length of stay), there is no charge if change is made at least 30 days in advance. If change is made less than 30 days, but at least 7 days prior to scheduled arrival, a $20 charge will apply to the change. If the “change” is made less than 7 days prior to arrival date, it will be treated as a cancellation, not a “change”—no refund or credit will be issued. If a change is made in length of stay, there is no charge if extending length of stay. However, shortening a reservation may result in the change being treated as a cancellation, and a $20 fee if made less than 30 days but at least 7 days prior to original arrival date. If change to shorten stay is made less than 7 days prior to arrival date, payment in full for original reservation is expected—no credit or refund shall be issued. Lastly, please remember that long-term weather forecasts are notoriously inaccurate (no offence, Bob Maxon…but you said it yourself). Every year, we have campers call to cancel on a Monday because the meteorologists are calling for “wind and rain” on Saturday…and it turns out to be a beautiful weekend. While we welcome tent camping, please note that while some tenters often feel that different rules regarding weather related cancellations should be applied to them, we treat all cancels with the same policy (and this is one reason some campgrounds no longer welcome tent sites).
