We invite our campers to join us on Saturday, May 3 at 2PM for a “thank you” picnic honoring Randy and Jane, the former owners of the campground.  Many seasonals have already signed up to bring side dishes, and we will provide hot dogs and hamburgers and a cake.  So far, sign-ups include potato salad, bow-tie salad, macaroni salad, tossed salad, 5-layer salad (we hope everyone likes salad!), mac & cheese, and brownies.  Please bring your own beverages, and we will have plates and plasticware.  If you wish to indicate which item you care to bring, post it on our Facebook page.  A reminder that this weekend will be the last of our Saturday night Bingos, as we will start having dances or Bonfires on Saturday nights starting Mother’s Day Weekend, and Bingo will move to Friday night (as well as Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning). Sunfox Campground invites you to join us for our first Easter Weekend April 17-20.  Reservations for the weekend include Thursday night for free, and activities will include egg coloring, an Easter Egg & Candy Hunt, an Egg Toss, wagon rides, and a Saturday night Bingo.  Check out the Activity Schedule April 17-20, and give us a call at 860-376-1081 to make your reservations.  Fishing season officially opens in CT this weekend, although no license is needed to fish in our own stocked pond…so bring your fishing pole.  Thanks again to everyone who helped make our opening weekend a great success (see our Opening Weekend photos), including Mother Nature for the glorious weather, and Jane and Randy for the lovely flowers.

We are looking forward to our opening weekend of April 11-13, as we welcome the Seaport Sams camping club, as well as numerous other campers with advance reservations.  There are still a few sites available, and the forecast is looking good, so why not get the RV for the maiden voyage of 2014?  We will have our first Bingo of the season on Saturday night at 8pm, as well as our first wagon ride of 2014.  The mini-golf will be available, the Slush Machine is running, and some of the new Sunfox t-shirts and sweatshirts have arrived, and although we are sitting near the fireplace, you can count on the shorts returning this weekend. For any of our camping friends who may be in the area this weekend, you are invited to join us for Bingo on any of our Saturday night Bingo sessions in April, and the visitor fee will be waived.  We do ask that you make a donation to the Team Joe Kelly 5K Fundraiser, which will be held here in Lisbon on April 26.  We hope you join us, and we will have the Yanks and Sox, as well as some Masters golf action, showing in the Rec Hall (along with a nice fire in the fireplace).  Check out some photos from Opening Weekend at Sunfox!

Despite the snow on the ground, over the past weekend we welcomed prospective campers looking for seasonal sites for 2014.  Although there was some melting this weekend, there is still a good 6 inches of snow throughout most of the campground…but folks were able to select seasonal sites!  We still have about a dozen sites on hold for potential seasonal bookings, so feel free to stop in and take a look.  Check out our Seasonal Information , where you can also view an updated list of sites available, as well as site photos (from warmer days without snow on the ground).  Also, numerous reservations for opening weekend of April 11-13 have allowed us to add a Saturday night Bingo, as we were not planning to start any events until Easter Weekend.  Join us for the weekend, our Spring Special or for the whole season!
